CMP
(College Mentorship Program)

"Coaching helps you build the skills you need to succeed and thrive, while advising keeps you on the path to success and helps you meet every administrative requirement."

The Shine Center’s CMP Program is geared towards pre-college and first year college students. Using the student-centered academic coaching style, conversations may include time management, how to choose a calendar that works best, managing new routines, finding a major that feels right, to-do lists, accountability, the “new and unknown” feelings of college, managing stress, meeting new friends, and any other topic a student may present individually.

Sessions are individual, coach to student, 30 minutes, virtual, weekly or bi-weekly based on the need of the student. Book for 1 semester or the full year. Group sessions will be considered if requested by a student and their peers.

The Shine Center will consider other requests outside of the first year college experience and accommodate based on availability.

The inquiry phase will end on August 26 2024.Sessions begin the week of September 9 2024.
